Accessibility Statement

We're committed to ensuring our website and services are accessible to everyone. Last updated April 11, 2026.

Our Commitment

Thrive Dental is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including those with disabilities. We strive to make our website usable and accessible to everyone. This statement outlines our accessibility efforts and how you can access help.

Web Accessibility Standards

Thrive Dental strives to make our website accessible to as many visitors as possible, including people with disabilities. As a general reference for our work, we look to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium, and we are also mindful of the principles reflected in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act where those apply.

Our site is developed with accessibility in mind as one of our ongoing priorities. We do not warrant or guarantee that every page or every piece of content fully conforms to any particular accessibility standard at any given time. Some content, including material or functionality provided by third parties such as online booking widgets, embedded video players, payment portals, and external forms, may not fully meet the same guidelines we apply to content under our direct control.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time achievement. We continue to review and improve our site over time, and we welcome feedback from visitors about any barriers they experience so we can work in good faith to address them.

In general, the accessibility principles we reference aim to:

  • Make content perceivable to users with visual, hearing, or other sensory impairments
  • Allow users to operate the site using a keyboard or other assistive input devices
  • Keep content understandable for users with cognitive or learning differences
  • Use code that is compatible with widely used assistive technologies

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on any page of this site, or if you need information from our site provided to you in an alternative accessible format, please contact us using the details below and let us know. We will make reasonable efforts to respond promptly and to provide the information or service in a way that works for you.

Accessibility Features We Work To Include

As part of our ongoing accessibility work, we aim to build and maintain features on our website that support a broad range of visitors. The list below describes what we work to provide. It is a description of our efforts and priorities, not a warranty that every feature is present on every page at every moment.

Visual

  • We work to use color combinations for body text and interactive elements that meet commonly referenced contrast targets
  • Text on our pages is intended to scale with browser zoom and text-size controls, and our layouts are designed to reflow responsively on different screen sizes
  • We offer an on-site accessibility preferences panel with options that may include readable font, dyslexia-friendly font, increased line height, text spacing, link highlighting, dark mode, high contrast, grayscale, color-blind friendly adjustments, and reduced motion
  • We try to use clear headings that help organize content on each page
  • We aim to provide alternative text for meaningful images, and we continue to review and improve alt text over time

Keyboard Navigation

  • We work to make interactive elements throughout the site reachable and operable using a keyboard
  • We aim to provide visible focus styles on buttons, links, and form fields so keyboard users can see where they are on the page
  • We try to maintain a logical tab order that generally follows the visual order of content
  • A skip-to-content link is provided near the top of most pages so keyboard users can bypass repetitive navigation

Assistive Technology Support

  • Our pages are built using semantic HTML where appropriate, with landmark regions intended to help assistive technology users navigate
  • We use ARIA attributes and labels in places where semantic HTML alone is not sufficient to communicate structure or state
  • We work to associate form labels with their input fields and to communicate required field status to assistive technology

Content and Language

  • We aim to write in plain, clear language where possible and to provide instructions for forms and interactive elements
  • Where video or audio content is under our direct control, we work to provide captions, transcripts, or written alternatives as those become available
  • We try to use descriptive link text so the purpose of a link is understandable on its own

Mobile and Touch

  • We use responsive layouts that are intended to work across a range of screen sizes and orientations
  • We aim to size interactive touch targets in a way that supports easier use on touch devices
  • We work to support common mobile assistive technologies such as VoiceOver on iOS and TalkBack on Android

The features described above represent our good-faith efforts and ongoing priorities. Accessibility is a continuous process, and we do not claim that every feature listed is present on every page at every moment, or that every piece of content fully conforms to any particular accessibility standard. If something on our site is not working for you, please let us know using the contact details below and we will make reasonable efforts to address it.

Known Limitations and Ongoing Work

While we strive for full accessibility, some limitations may exist:

  • Zocdoc booking widget: The third-party Zocdoc appointment booking tool has its own accessibility characteristics that we do not control. Users may experience different accessibility features when scheduling appointments through Zocdoc
  • Santa Clara office video: The office tour video for our Santa Clara location does not currently include captions or transcripts. We are working to add these features
  • Embedded social media content: External social media links from Facebook and Instagram may not meet the same accessibility guidelines we apply to our own content
  • Third-party financing platforms: Cherry, CareCredit, and Sunbit financing links direct to external platforms with their own accessibility standards

We continuously work to improve accessibility across the entire site. If you encounter any barriers or accessibility issues, please report them so we can address them promptly.

Assistive Technology Support

Our website is built with semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks to support common assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and Windows Narrator
  • Standard keyboard navigation (Tab, Enter, Space)
  • Browser zoom and text sizing tools

If you experience issues using assistive technology on our site, please let us know so we can investigate and address the problem.

Accommodations at Our Dental Offices

We want every patient to feel welcome and comfortable at Thrive Dental. If you have specific accessibility needs or require accommodations for your visit, please contact our office in advance and we will do our best to assist you.

Most browsers allow you to increase text size. Use these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Windows/Linux: Ctrl + Plus (+) to increase, Ctrl + Minus (-) to decrease
  • Mac: Command + Plus (+) to increase, Command + Minus (-) to decrease

Enable High Contrast Mode

Most operating systems have high-contrast display settings that can improve readability. Check your system preferences or accessibility settings.

Third-Party Content and Limitations

Our website includes content and services from third parties such as Zocdoc (appointment booking) and social media platforms. While we work to integrate these services accessibly, we do not control their accessibility standards. If you experience issues with third-party services, please contact their support teams directly.

For accessibility concerns with specific third-party integrations, we recommend:

  • Zocdoc: Contact Zocdoc support directly at zocdoc.com or use their accessibility resources
  • Social media links: Visit Facebook.com/help and Instagram.com/help for accessibility features
  • Financing services: Each financing partner has their own accessibility support
